History of East Pocono Alumnae Chapter

During our beloved sorority's centennial year, a small group of sorors discussed the possibility of putting necessary efforts in motion to ensure that we could improve the quality of life for residents within Monroe County. Three years later that small discussion led us to other sorors in the community who were eager to lead the charge. With five sorors in attendance the first dedicated meeting took place around the dining room table of an elder soror. That was the evening whereby the actual statistical information was recorded, and the proper forms were completed to begin the process. With each soror dedicated to the cause, it was not before long that the community knew of our efforts. Within the year, The East Pocono Alumnae Chapter (EPAC) was chartered. The official ceremony took place on November 23, 2013 on the campus of East Stroudsburg University in East Stroudsburg, PA. The thirteen chartering members were ecstatic to be chartered one hundred years after our illustrious sorority was established by our pioneering and innovative founders.
